Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) is a learning model that utilizes online technology to delvier educational programs in a virtual classroom. The instructor and student are in different locations but have the ability to see teaching materials and verbally communicate during a live session.  An application and application fee will be required. Credit through the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services, (CECBEMS) will only be awarded to programs in compliance the CECBEMS Standards and Requirements for Approval of a Virtual Instructor-Led Continuing Education Program. 

According to CECBEMS, the National Registry of EMT's (NREMT) accepts these courses as "FI Live Events" which allows the student to take more online Coninuing Education hours for other subjects.
